I forgot to mention...

That yesterday I went to get Addison and myself drinks from Sonic, and I went to Sonic West to see if Stana was working (she wasn't). But I talked to Debby for a little bit and she hooked it up w/ our drinks and brought me a Cranberry Limeaide to try...FYI they pretty much just taste like cherry limeaides but a little less sweet and a gross after taste.

Birthday, Jean Pose, Water bottles

The other day we celebrated Alex's (Addison's nephew) 7th birthday.

Tonight Jake (Addison's other nephew) kept wanting to take pics with my camera. He's a stud.

I wasn't lying about that.

Tonight my madre and I had Olive Garden Salad and pasta. Bon jour!

A bit of an updater

Yesterday
*It was 101 degrees at one point
*Daylight Donuts has a sign that says "Now Serving Bottled Water" or something of the nature
*Addison and I had a water fight
*We had Alex's (Addison's nephew) 7th birthday party

Today
*Addison helped me clean out my car
*We watched the OC
*My mommy and me ate steak for dinner

I don't remember everything else, I know that more has gone on. But oh well. Tomorrow I'm watching Addison umpire. And him and I are getting bikes!

New Car, New Hair, New...Stana?

Riding in the car with her yesterday was like...culture shock. Or something. I don't really know, but Kasey needed a color model for school and Stana thought what the heck. So, it's really fun and a lot shorter than it used to be...like beneath her shoulders. So yesterday we went to Applebees then drove around for a while. Before that I hung out at Addisons all day with him and his family. I also ate lunch with AJ, Sarah, and Josh at Peking II. It was fun, I hadn't seen those guys for a while. Then I went back to Addisons and hung out with him and Bret. So, it was a good day.

Now I'm watching reruns of the second season Laguna Beach. I love it, I can't lie. Rhonda and I are about to go shopping. :)

ps. I hear that Jenette and Chris are moving into apartment next door to Shannon and Nicole. EXcited.

They ALL call them wee-wees

Yesterday Addison's Sister and her two kids Alex and Jake came to town for the weekend. I used the old "I'm a girl" line to get out of this situation:

and if you were wondering...even the three-year-old calls moths wee-wees. It's really a fun time.

Ink

Kasey and her boyfriend Mark got a new Doggie!

They named it Ink. I haven't seen it in person, but she a had a pic on her myspace. :)How fun.

Seven Months

As of today Addison and I have been dating for 7 months. Exciting? Yes it is.
We made grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner, watched cops, drink a whole bunch of black cherry kool-aid, watched an episode of the O.C., went to a rec softball game, and got arc-tic rush floats from DQ. Yup. It was a good anniversary.
This is what the sky looked like.

It hasn't rained yet, and I don't think it will. Too bad.

the Davinci Code

Sunday Dave, Rhonda, and I went to see the Davinci Code. It was pretty good. I mean, it would have been better if I knew what the crap was going on, like at all. But it was still a good time. Dave said the movie would have to have been like 16 hours to fit in everything that was in the book. So, I'm sure they did the best they could.

The Show Last Night

This is a local band xDoc Hollidayx. They were actually a lot better than what I thought they would be, just because they haven't been playing together for very long. Bret (the guy on the right in the white shirt) isn't normally in the band, he just sang with Jon D. for a couple songs.

These are a couple guys from Believe in You. Another band called speakerFIRE was supposed to play, but there was something about a bassist...I didn't really understand the story. Anyway, Believe in You went on tour with Sleepaway instead I guess, and they were good, I'm glad they came.

Sleepaway was the last band to play. They played here last year, and they're really good. The guys were cool, both them and the fellas from Believe in You hung out at Addison's all day before the show.

This is a pretty poor video of Sleepaway, but...oh well. I'm hoping to get a video camera here pretty soon...we'll see. Anyways, they're playing "Something of a Saturday" in this video, you can here it and a couple other of there songs on their myspace.

It was a long day, but it was fun (plus we got +300 pbse points), and the show was really good. Hopefully those guys will come through again next summer or something. Next week is Rookie of the Year!

ABY+Pizza Hut=Yum!

Today I decided to go to youth group for the first time in like a year and a half. All we ended up doing was eating at Pizza Hut, but it's cool I'm down with that. So here's John and Patrick...

...and here's Connie and girl I don't really know. There were two other girls that I didn't really catch the names of.

In any case, it was a swell time. It's been forever since I've hung out with John and Connie Williams...those cats are karraaaaazy. :)

In an hour and 15 minutes Rhonda, Dave, and I are going to go watch The Davinci Code. I've been looking forward to a good religious conspiracy for a while now.

Lets look at number 2

Today Addison and I painted his room downstairs, and we got it done really fast, which was nice.

Afterwards we rewarded ourselves with drinks from Sonic (+200 bse points)

xDoc Hollidayx

Last night this girl from Garden, Dalia, had her birthday party at this place that her family owns called Queens. Lately, this is where we've been having shows. So anyways, Kaleb's band Doc Holliday played...like three songs, then some kid got hit by a car outside, so a bunch of poeple left, Addison and myself included.
Here are some of the fellas dancing.

Project: Best Summer Ever 06

Yes, it's that time again. Time for the Best Summer Ever! We did it last year too, it's a big list of things to do that you get points for to make your summer (and mine) the Best Summer Ever! (it has a pretty descriptive title) Anyhoo, Shannon started it up last year, and we all got kind of into it. So check out the site, if you want to get your name on it or anything, let me know and I'll hook you up with the password. I hear today is the first day to start getting points, so get at it kids!

Here's Shannon's post about it.

Fresh Stuffed Pitas

I just saw an add on tv for fresh stuffed pitas at Wendy's, and Dave Thomas was on it. I'm pretty sure he died a while back. Now, obviously it's just an old add that they're airing again, but still there's got to be some dignity left in the advertising world.

ps. Addison started yet another new blog, it's on my sidebar. Check it out.

Balloons+Sandy=funny

Shannon posted this video of Randy's dog. It's freakin hilar.

Visit his blog to learn more about Sandy.

2006

My sweet tattoo I got at project graduation. I'm really glad I went, it was a good time hanging out with Kasey, Lauren, and Kelsie.
This is my uncle Randy's dog, Sandy. He's really cute.
Here's my graduating class.
Shannon graduated from KState w/ his masters in statistics. He's going to go another 2 years while Nicole gets her masters in statistics as well. That will be 10 years for me. Me, I'm just glad I'm done with high school for now. :)
We counted up I think about 40 some people that came to the party. It was mostly family. Yeah, we've got a huge family going on. So yeah, it was a fab weekend. I got some cool stuff, too!

Happy Birthday AJ and Sally!

Today was Sally's 15th birthday and AJ's 16th. I didn't get to see Sally...mostly because she's in a state about 6 away from mine. But I took AJ out for lunch at peking, and Josh and Sarah Schaffer came too :)
I would post a pic of his present that I got him, but I haven't given it to him yet, so I don't want him to stumble upon it and ruin the suprise.

So, today I found the most amazing website ever. I told AJ I'd tell him it for his birthday, so here it is.
It's not quite as fantastic unless you've seen Fat Camp on MTV. It may even still be funny even if you haven't. I wouldn't know, I have seen it. And it's fab. Oh Diane.

What am I going to do, learn from Gabe?

Last night Addison and I went to the modern showchoir showcase at the high school.

AJ and his solo.

Storm

So, I looked at the tv earlier this evening and saw finney county was under a tornado warning, and right then Addison called me and told me his band practice was done. So since we agreed to spend tornados together (we have our reasons), I went to his house. It started raining and hailing, and it was a great time. Especially since there wasn't an actual tornado. Here are a couple of examples of the hail.
And here are some more.
Here's the calm after the storm. There was soooo much water in the gutters.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Though playing in the rain was fun, it was super cold, so we just went inside and hung out.

Thugs drink tea

Very good tea, I might add.

Aaron Geil plays for the Royals

So today started off with me giving my buff project presentation, which went over pretty well. They didn't even ask me very many questions! It was fab. Then Addison and I hung out for a bit, until me and Rhonda went to Cattleman's. Which was both yummy and filling. Then Addison and I hung out some more until my hair cut at 4. And now my hair is super short. But it's cool, cause I enjoy it. It's a nice change (I'll post pics sometime). I'm even going to part my bangs on the right side now. Crazy, I know.
Then I went back to Addisons and we decided to make dinner, and chose to make Chipotle burritos. Fyi, it's just not the same, don't attempt. So then we hung out and got DQ and watch the Royals/White Sox game (Royals won 5-4, how exciting for them! I totally knew they were going to win this one), then I came home early cause we were both tired and he has EVOC at 8 in the morning. All in all it was...pretty much just a weird day. But it all turned out good.

Buff Project

Did I mention I'm presenting my Buff Project at 8 tomorrow morning? Oh yeah...Well I am. Don't worry, I just practiced what is supposed to be my 8-10 minute speech and it was 16 minutes. Here's tomorrow's line up:

8 am- Present Buff Project
11 am- Eat lunch w/ my mommy
4 pm- Hair cut
7 pm-ish- Go to Applebees to (hopefully) celebrate the passing of buff project and the end of senior year.
Sometime- Watch tonight's O.C. with Addison

Good times to be had by all! And by all I mean mostly me because I'm the only one that will be there all day.

Last Day of High School

So...yeeeah it was definitley the last day of high school for me. I'm a little too sad to talk about it. So here's some pictures.
A couple graduating seniors of '06.

I'm leaving three very special people behind at the high school and I'm going to miss them soooooo much.
Aj, Josh...

...and Sarah.

However, on a happier note, since my phone got killed over last weekend, I got a new one. A fliptastic one!
Here's first position...

Here's second position...

Ahhhh that did make me feel better. But seriously. The special ones left at the high school (and even some seniors), I'm going to miss you. :( I love y'all. But I'm not going to cry.

Shirts

Today at dinner Dave and Rhonda were talking and Rhonda was like, "Shannon has a shirt that says 'I make stuff up'", and then when Dave was walking out of the room he said in his Dave-like tone "Strong like bull". It was hilar.

Sleepaway/Rookie of the Year

So last summer these two bands, Rookie of the Year and Sleepaway, came and played at the Holcomb rec. They were fab, and they're coming back!
Sleepaway is coming May 22 and playing at Queens with Speakerfire (I've never heard them):

Rookie of the Year is coming May 31, and I'm assuming they're playing at Queens as well with the Girl Fight:

Both bands are seriously so good. We're excited.

Happy May Day!

This is my very last week of high school Ever! I'd say only 15% sad.
Today for lunch Sarah Schaffer and I went to Taco Bell for lunch and got Baha Blasts (and other things). Then we made fun of Pam, got AJ and made May Day baskets at Georgia Matthews since her mom is a teacher there. AJ made the May Day Carrot.

We got candy for our baskets then took them around to my mom, Brenda, and Addison. This is them waiting for me after I left Addison's on his porch.

After all those shinanigans, Rhonda and I had Olive Garden salad for dinner, then went and bought some business casual. Then Addison and I went running and hung out until I had to come home. The end!
