Unbelievable

I don't understand how I just suffered through an hour and a half of calc homework only to get 8 problems done, and I REALLY don't understand how Shannon and Nicole just did too. I should really up their pay.

Oh, and IF you were wondering, I got 26 hits on my site today. Ballin.

Kasey + 1

My best friend from high school and fellow picaroon is having a baybey! She's 22 weeks in this pic...I'm not gonna lie, I just stole it off her myspace. But really, it's free publicity so I look at it like I'm doing her a favor.

I'm excited.

Nineteen!

I don't know if you know this, but yesterday was my birthday! It was a really good day, it started with staying the night with Lauren the night before. We listened to Brian Reagan and ate a ton of cheese dip until 2 am. (Here's an insider tip: Brian Reagan is hilarious. Eating a bunch of cheese dip...not so funny.)
Needless to say, getting 4 1/2 hours of sleep made classes the next morning drag on foreeeeeever. But after we got out Mommy and I went to eat at Pizza Hut!
You know, it's funny how it was my 19th birthday, but I look about 15 in this picture. I don't know how I do it.

After lunch Lauren and I went shopping, and I got myself some presents. This wasn't one of them, I just happened to see it at Maurices. But you can bet when it goes on sale someone in my family is gonna be wearing it.
After running all around town, going to the Buckle with Nicholas, and having a fantastic Garden City time, we met up with Chelsey and Nickole and headed for the same place I've had my last three birthday meals. The Charro....Dodge City style.
We gave Dodge a little of the Garden City love.
Becky (in the middle) came to eat with us too, since she lives there now. She kept a watchful eye out for all of us the ghetto, since people don't mess with the Beckster.
When we got home Kelsie and Devon came over and we played Apples to Apples then watched the train episode of Grey's.
You wouldn't know it from the picture, but about 10 seconds later we were out for the night. SOOOO tired. Yup, it was a very successful 19th Birtday Palooza!

IT'S gonna be a good one

Today was Pastor John and Sally Bliss' last day at our church, so we had a dinner for them. That's Grandma in between the two.
Yesterday we had a kid's dance clinic and they were supposed to perform at the basketball game, but it got moved to today on account of wind. Really.
But today we got it with all the girls and taught them everything we knew about bein hood.
We had to entertain them for two hours, so I took pictures to get out of playing freeze tag and duck duck goose a hundred billion times. There's Lauren and Jessica ballin.
Kelsie setting a girl free in freeze tag.
These were my, Kelsie, and Natasha's girls. Look at the one in the very middle....ahhaha. (The girl third from the right is either Josh or Zach Newsome's daughter.)
These were the older girls in Lauren, Chelsey, and Jessica's group.
It was fan appreciation night at the game, so they had a bunch of food in the back gym for free after the game. But Lauren and I caught on quick, and before the game was over, went back and plundered some sonic burgers.
We won the game! So that means, we get a playoff game at home, and THAT means we get to dance again! Burgers and another dance...what a blessing.

The Number 23

Tonight Lauren, Chelsey, Alexa, me and some other kiddies went to see The Number 23. I enjoyed it, they did a pretty good job making everything in the story work with the plot. Not a lot of movies like this do that these days.

This aint a scene

Every once in a while, a night will come along that makes me glad I'm not a drunken college student. Not that tonight was a horrible night by any means...These nights just make me appreciate how I do a little bit more.

(Friends: this isn't about you.)

I don't even know how I stumbled upon the FYI Guys, but I wish I could do lunch with them...they teach so much to online community.
Here's a little taste.

Not a fan

My freakin calc teacher talked me out of dropping today. UGH. While it's nice to know she cares and actually wants to help me (I didn't think she liked me), it's still annoying that I have to keep going to a class that I absolutley don't understand.

Starbucks Nazi?

Tonight I got called a Nazi because I wouldn't make some loser high school kids from Satanta a Frappucino.
NNNNNNO!
Look. I have things to do. I don't have time to just sit around 20 minutes after we close just because you didn't feel like coming in for the 13 hours that we were open during the day. Get over yourself.
OH. And I don't care if you drove a long way. a) that's a lie. you didn't come JUST for Starbucks if you did drive far. b) if you did, your a frikin loser and I'm glad you came late and don't get a drink. TAKE THAT.

Sometimes it makes me laugh.

And sometimes I wonder if I'm cut out for the service world...

(ps. Lauren got me the second season of Grey's Anatomy on DVD for my early birthday present!)

If a sucka wanna hate

Sunday afternoon we had a makeup game against Cloud County in basketball. It was an akward day since everyone had to rush around and the game was in the afternoon, instead of the evening as they usually are. Needless to say we weren't at the top of our game, but we always atleast partially get it.

Now I'll never find Neverland :(

I have been searching and searching for piano music for "Neverland [Piano Variation in Blue" and pretty much any sheet music from Finding Neverland, but I wanted that one in particular to play at my piano recital at the end of the year.
Anyway, so I finally found this guy on the internet that transcribed that song and "Neverland [Minor Piano Variation]" which is good, but no where near as good. Well, I d/l that one to my computer, but you have to have a friggin password for Variation in Blue!!! SO pissed. I was rediculously close.
It doesn't look like they're coming out with sheet music from the movie any time soon, either. But in case they are, this is where you come in.
If any of yall find piano music for Finding Neverland OMG buy it for me. I will hit you back up, I am just dieing for it. Go to amazon.com and listen to the song, it's gorgeous.

Hannibal Rising

Javi and I went to see Hannibal Rising tonight. I was a little skeptical, but it turned out better than what I thought it would be. Javi wasn't too impressed, but he's seen all the Hannibal movies, and I haven't. So we probably had different expectations. However, it wasn't all gross and him eating people and stuff. So that was refreshing.

Clearance

All the Valentines Day stuff was on clearance at Target, and I've had my eye on this bad boy for a while...

So I waited it out and got it for 5 bucks! I know you're wondering and the answer is yes. Those are Jones Soda boxers!

Since when Ataris?

Back in my freshman/sophomore years The Ataris were like my favorite band of all time. I mean, I still love them. But they kept breaking my heart with each year that passed that they didn't put out a new cd.

Well. It's happened.
February 20 Welcome The Night hits stores. You can listen to some of thier stuff on their myspace. I'll probably get the cd but...*sigh* It just doesn't have that same poppy Ataris love-sound as they used to. The new stuff sounds alright though, I can work with it.

These are great shoelaces

Meredith Grey, you are going to give me a heart attack.
For those of you who haven't been keeping up with Grey's Anatomy, that's ok. ABC.com has all season three's episodes right here.
For those of you that have
....yeah. You know. Place I cried most: when Sloan sat next to Shepherd.

Happy Valentines Day!

My day wasn't super romantic, but that's ok because I had Chelsey and Lauren. And really...who else does a girl need?
The basketball game that was scheduled tonight got cancelled and moved to this sunday (4 pm, you should come.) So after regularly scheduled classes, us girlies decorated the studio for a little v-day fiesta we'll be having tomorrow after dance!
After that Chelsey had to go to work, so Lauren and I got frost bite taking pictures for my b-day invitations. (I don't actually smoke! I can't stress this enough. I accidentally inhaled once and almost died of emphysema. Trust me, I'm NY. But my lungs aren't.)

I ate dinner with Lauren and her family, then we went to Maurices to see Chelsey but that was before I realized we were taking pics with everyone we saw tonight.
After taking her brother to the bowling alley, we went to Target and talked to Chris and Sasha in the break room for awhile, and ate birthday cake.

We saw Kaleb and Javi a couple times this evening. We miss those Old Manor boys sometimes.

To end the night, I went over to Nick's house to help him with his pile of math homework. To keep you up, this is the boy I've been hanging out with since last weekend. We hate each other, but we love each other.

In summary: you don't need a boyfriend or a fancy dinner to make your valentines day great. I'm not saying it doesn't help but I make it work for me.

Winter Phase 2

All the snow that had accumulated from before Christmas was almost melted here in Garden...until today. Within 6 hours it snowed about 5 inches. Uuggghhhhh.

I had to use the four wheel drive feature on the CRV to get into the drive way. GOOD GRIEF.
On another quick note, Lauren and I worked together tonight and had a grand time. :)

Nut it

Jess and I stayed to watch the game after Kelsie and Tamber left (we were supposed to be working the game...didn't happen so much.) We went and got free ice cream cones with coupons that we got, and got nuts to top them (best idea EVER Jess.)

Later that night Nick and I beat each other then we broke up. (not really, and not really. but kind of.)

Tutus

I'm making tutus for the dance we're doing this coming wednesday. This is the first, and sort of a practice run. I'm mostly posting this so Lauren, who's in Colorado, can tell me what she thinks. So Lauren, call me when you see this.

Cry

Last wednesday we danced at the basketball game against Dodge (which we won in overtime. That's two in a row for us, it's a beautiful thing). The dance itself was pretty, but combined with the ugliest outfits that gym had ever seen and a crowd pumped up at halftime, most people weren't really feeling it.

"Cry" Lyrical on Vimeo

Next week we dance on Valentines day and it will seriously be the freakin coooooolest dance of the semester. Take that 'Momma don't dance'.

OMG I want to see this!

Jim has done well with the serious roles in the past, so I have faith in him for this run.
