Save me some

I went to Target 3 times today, and Wal-Mart twice. It was redic. I got my windshield wipers changed, and Vicki and her dog Shiloh came to town.

Kaleb and I went to visit Lauren at work, then he went to Scott and us girls went to Pete and Tyler's and hung out with them (+Addison) and watched a George Lopez dvd.

Shannon and friends' car broke down outside of Hays on their way to Denver for a hockey tournament. Not gonna lie, I almost had to take an emergency trip there tonight. And I would have. Love them. Ps. They got it taken care of, no worries. Just needs an alternater.

When I came home, Dave was still up and in his room downstairs, so I knocked and he was watching a movie and eating peanuts. He offered, so I took one. Just one. Now my breath tastes like a peanut. But just one.

Good times, tonight. I liked it.

My elevator's hit the top

I've been into Target 3 times today. I didn't even work today. But it's cool, I got some rad shorts, a skirt, and a paycheck. So I'm in.

Dave retired today, that's always a good time.

Last night we played scene it? at the boys' house. Good times were had by all, even though Tyler and Josh tried to pretend like they didn't enjoy it.

I think my molers (sp?) are coming in. Not really, but that's what I feel like.

Lauren got a job at Target/Starbucks. SO excited :) Chelsey's thinking about applying too. As if we didn't already have an all-star cast. They'll be great supporting roles.

Tonight I think everyone is just chillin. No big plans.

LB and I are trying to go to the OK/KSU game next weekend, hopefully we can get some tickets. Those will be some good times right thurr.

Have a good weekend!!!! :)

Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol

I smell a new song for the fall. Get it Snow Patrol.

My Bad. I posted a link for y'all.

Ambitions

I've decided that if the lawyer/cheif justice thing, being a firefighter, a super model, or someone that's rediculously famous for an unclear reason doesn't work out, I want to be a football commentator when I grow up.

Jealous?

Dirty Ethel Rackham

My pirate name is:

Dirty Ethel Rackham

You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

Get your own pirate name from piratequiz.com.

Which is odd..because I'm really quite clean. But I like it. It's edgy.

Le Costume

I know what I want to bee for halloween. (get it?)

Isn't it fun! I'm going to make it...that is, I hope I'm going to try to make it. Beecause it would bee a lot of fun. :)

Going off four hours

What were you doing at 5 this morning?

I'll show you what Lauren, Chels, and I were doing:

=The Old Manor House's front yard

Kaleb retaliated with butter on our car door handles. Good one.

Ps. Not.

For boys, you'd think they would be pros at playing pranks...Rookies...

Clay Jenkinson

Tonight, a fella by the name of Clay Jenkinson came to the college and spoke. He's pretty much the expert on Thomas Jefferson, studied him for something like 10 years as a full time job. You can check out his site, The Thomas Jefferson Hour to learn more about him. It was fairly interesting...I didn't get into the speech, but it got better once people started asking questions.
(This was obviously taken after he took off the wig.)
And did you freakin know that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence? SAME DAY. CRAAAZY.

Two can play...

We basically started off the day by taping up a large number of pictures all over the Old Manor house of us girls. Then we hid as the boys one by one came home...
Kaleb wasn't too impressed, and later on in the day let the air out of one of each of our tires (you can't really tell in the pics...but believe me. There was no air pressure going on there). Yeah. He got us. But it was frikin hilar. Oh, and don't even worry about it, because he definitly aired them back up for us. So no b d.

You can't tell, but these are our "Don't worry Kaleb, we'll get you back. And it's gonna get dirty from here on" faces. Except Chelsey's...but she's just playin it cool. She knows whats up.

I love all the love that goes on at that house. It's like we're all the Ortegas. :)

Helmets=Hott

Yesterday Kasey, Stana, Zoe and I went to get some Boston Robbins, then we went to Target. Stana Banana was trying to find some trike gear for Zoe. This one didn't win, however.
Today, Kasey and I went to watch Stana play a little softball before I had to go to a speech. She (Kase) just redid her hair...and I wish I would have gotten a pic of it, because it's supa fly.

Got it

Last night was our first dance at a home game (We beat Dodge 31-7!!!). Lauren and Keslie made up the dance, Tamber rolled her ankle and I tore something in my leg. It was really exciting, I loved it. Next week is homecoming against Hutch.
(No practice monday!)

Afterwards we all hung out, went to get some din din at Applebees, went to Pete's house, then to the Old Manor house and hung out.

I mean I'm out here...

Friday night (after the Cobbler fiasco) Tyler, Josh, Ross, Lauren, Jessica, and I went to Lone Star to eat dinner. (That's Josh and Ross in the picture, FYI)
Afterwards we hung out over at their house with Chelsey and Kaleb, which were funny times, as usual. Tyler went a little crazy with my camera, but we didn't mind. We're pretty much used to it.

Who's Kim?!

So the last couple of days have been weird, and oddly, pretty good. For instance.

I started working at Starbucks on Monday, and while some things are hard to remember, I'm picking it all up and making it work for me. Even though I have to wear a cap.

Last night I got off early so I hung out with Chelsey and Lauren. We made up an affair Chelsey's boyfriend Kaleb was having with a girl "Kim", and yelled at him for it. "Yelled". Then Lauren cleaned they're kitchen.

(These are me and Lauren's "Kim better not be in there when we come inside, Kaleb" faces)

Today someone that was mad at me for a long time finally looked at me, and even smiled a bit.

I broke my freakin long finger nail trying to hurry in the door because there was a HUGE spider on it. But I laughed, because even though I've been really tired and a bit behind on homework and super busy, things are going pretty well.

In conclusion, I hope everyone out there has a fantastic day, and an even better rest of the week. Oh, and it's always nice when K-State completley shuts down a team.

ps. I want to see The Black Dahlia coming out this friday.

September

Watch.

Shannon posted this video today, it's a good thing to watch just so you can remember what things were like the couple days after 9/11. I had forgotten how intense that time was.

The Covenant

Friday night we had plans for a bunch of us to go to see The Covenant. It ended up just being Chelsey, Nicole, Ricky-licious, and me. Not the point though.
I thought the movie was going to be lame, but I had nothing else to do and Chelsey had wanted to see it for a long time. So, oh my gosh it was good. Wow, was not expecting that. Not the best acting in the world, but still worth while. I just wish movies were still $3 in the theaters so I wouldn't be afraid to reccommend seeing them on the big screen. Anyways, it's y'alls call. We all liked it.

Town Girls + Minonites = Bowling

Last night after I got off work, Jess and I were at a loss for entertainment. So we went to see Lauren at work (Lone Star). Another long story short, she freakin gave some random guys my number and after LB got off they actually called and we met them at Sonic. Jessica used her radar and found out they were minonites before we even talked to them in person. She's good.
Then we went bowling. It was the first time for a couple of them (crazy, I know) but they still dominated us. It was one of the most random nights of my life, it was hilar. They're really different from us town folk, but they were nice. Then they went home to Montezuma, and we went to see a bunch of the old skool crew at the house on Crestway, then Lauren taught us a dance. :) Fun night!
On the girls team was Lauren, Chelsey (who didn't bowl but we still like her), Jessica, and Me.
That's Andy, Grant, and Chris, the "mins" as we called them. But not really.

Thats gonna be dirty

I'm sooo tired. Long story short, we met minonites and went bowling with them. Yeah we did. More on tonights shinanigans tomorrow.

Less Fog

I'm going to give you a couple random bullets about what's going/been going down.
*I have "The entertainment cannon's gonna blow up the skyyyyyyy!" from the vma's stuck in my head
*I work from 4-9 tonight as cashier, next week I get trained at Starbucks
*Tonight a bunch of people are going to see The Covenant (ie. Chelsey, Kaleb, Nicole, Josh, Tamber, Jessica, maybe Tyler, Me, and any other last minute additions)
*Lauren was being stalked by a freaky high school kid from Deerfield for the past couple of days, but I think we ended that last night. Good.
*Today I saw 3 red camaros all by each other in the KH parking lot
*OMG let me tell you about my dream last night:
I was driving along some country road in the mountains, and saw three dogs off in a little ditch and they were all hurt, and it was really sad. So I put them in my backpack, went to the nearest gas station, filled up, got a slushie, and had Shannon pay for all my stuff while I called an animal doctor. And then we were all homies because I saved their lives. I loved those dogs...I wonder if that dream had anything to do w/ my trip to the pound yesterday where I found the perfect dog. It was a pyrenees, and it was super adorable. I really wanted to take him home with me. And name him Carl.
*I have to go to Micro Econ soon...it's a pretty bland class. But I'm done with school after that! :)
*Have a good weekend everyone!

Tonight Josh and I went to his friends' cousins house to watch the game. I'm glad the Steelers won 28-17. Miami kept throwing interceptions, it was pretty ridiculous. It was a very interesting game.

Everyone was thinking it, I just said it.

To the Fellas

We did this dance last year during basketball, but due to complications, I could never get it posted (read the post from that day here.). Normally I wouldn't have kept trying all this time, but it was one of my favorite dances we did all year. So there ya go.

Pirates Cereal

Hehehe...

ATL

When someone told me the movie ATL (ft. T.I.) was good, I was pretty skeptical still. However, last night Lauren, Chelsey, and I were over at our friends Kaleb and Josh's house (Tyler lives there too, he just wasn't home) and had nothing better to do than to watch a movie. So Josh and I were given the task of renting something. We saw ATL, and just kind of went with it. And I'm gonna tell you what, that movie was good. It was not what I expected. If you look at the picture (yeah, they're in a skating rink), I'll bet that's not what you expected from a movie starring T.I. Now, I probably won't buy it, but I'd definitly watch it again.

KC Ren Fest

Today my brothers and sisters, mom, and Aaron and Stephanie and I went to the renaissance festival in Kansas City.
Before we left, Shannon found me a Pirate pet. It was also the first time I could stand to touch a snail. Weird, yeah? I loved that little guy...but I had to drive, so I couldn't bring him along. It was probably for the best though.
So anyways, definitly one of the coolest things I've ever been to. I'd say atleast 50% of the people there were dressed up. Fairies, Gypsies, Victorian stylies, Barbarians, Elves, Jesters, any thing else you can imagine, and yes. Pirates. They all paraded through the park, and passed right in front of us so we got to see everyone. I was nearly attacked by a Satyr, but I got over it.

All of us kids wore our pirate gear, and even Rhonda got into the pirate spirit and Schmee'd it up.

The boys threw axes...

...and Nette and Nicole threw knives.

There was even a joust! I know, right? It was alot of fun...alot of walking and being on one's feet, but still an enjoyable experience. There were performers everywhere, and booths selling food, jewelry, leather goods, costumes and tons of other stuff allll over. We were there for a good 6-7 hours, and only then were we pretty sure we covered all the grounds. I'm thinking that's a place I'll have to work next year. And Nicole shall set up a booth and sell pirate garb. It was nothing short of fab.
Bravo KC Ren Rest, Bravo.

Weekend Thus Far

Last night when we got to town, we went to Famous Dave's BBQ. We didn't have to wait too long, and the food was pretty dandy.

Then tonight we went to the K-State/Illinois game, which we won 24-23. It was a close one...KSU should probably step it up if they plan on having a good season. But I have faith in them...Ron Prince seems to be a good guy. They also dedicated the Bill Snyder Family Stadium tonight, which was neat. It's sad that he's gone. In any case, good times were had at the game. FYI, Figurs #16, best player on the team. He has my number AND he played for the JuCo. AND he was in fact the best player tonight. Take that Derick Meyer.

K-state

We're going to the KSU/Illinois State game tonight! I've never been to a KSU football game, so I'm way excited :)
