You work at Kites? You sure?

What were you doing at 1 am Saturday? Because I was dancing with Syrians in the IHOP parking lot after Nette, Chris, and I got a late night snack.

Also after Chris and I frosted his tips and bleached my bangs.
Fun night, ending with watching/falling asleep to Rounders around 3 am-ish. Then bright and early at 9 am I went to a car wash for the Tap Ensemble.

Unfortunately it started raining and we had to cut it an hour short, but we made a good amount of money! Today we went to a bunch of thrift stores and got all sorts of fun things. Thank you summertime!

Yeah you know

Friday we (myself, Whitney, Rachel, and Jennifer) gave a Tap-O-Gram to the new president of K-State, Kirk Schulz!
To make matters better, he tweeted (tweeted?) it! (June 12, check it out)

Just Dance

Saturday we had the end of the year Tap Ensemble BBQ. A few tears were shed for the graduating seniors, Annie Tipton and Jennifer Grantman.

What?! I Know!!

Will and I watched One Hot American Summer yesterday. At first I didn't think much of it, but boy howdy! It was pretty funny.

The Tap Ensemble did Tap A Grams all yesterday. It was freakin freezing! Pretty fun though.

I did one for Jenette from Chris and for Chris from Jenette. It was sneaky :) Julie said we raised over $1,000!
I also went to see Coraline with Netter and Chris later in the evening.

It was pretty cool, but actually pretty scary for being a kids movie. I surprised those little kids were giggling and having such a gay time. But if that's 30 less kids in the world that don't have to grow up being terrified of dolls, then good good deal.

And by the way, WHAT is with everyone hatin on Valentines Day?! I mean, it's not a shocker anymore because for as long as I've been out of elementary school people have been really cynical about it. However, it's just love man. Sure people are trying to pressure you to buy your sweetheart flowers, candies, diamonds, etc. BUT if you just don't, like you resist throughout the rest of the year when they're trying to get you to buy everything else, you can simply focus your efforts on doing something special one day out of the year for the person you love. And don't even say you don't need to have a day to show ______ that you love them, because if that's the case, then just do it on this day as well. And if you don't have a special someone, then love everyone! I'm not involved with anyone, but I just had a happy day of smiling at people and bringin the love.
Seriously, I don't know what it's an excuse for, but I know it's just an excuse when people hate valentines day. SO. I will be getting up to go to Target whne it opens at 8 am to buy up all the fantastic V-day clearance items. Bon Chance!

They love tap they love tap they love tap

This is Julie, my Jazz and Tap teacher, and also the coordinator for the KSU Tap Ensemble. She's improving while her husband Neil plays some live music.

(It's not like they just sit around and make dance videos, they were making a tap comp. video and this was just the uncut portion of part of it :)
They were making the video for a talk the Tap Ensemble would give before the Savion Glover show Bare Sounds here at McCain on November 1st. This year was the first I'd ever heard of Savion, but I quickly learned he's a big deal in the Tap World. He kind of got his first big break on Sesame Street (which I never watched as a kid).

Yeah, BA right? Then I found out he was Happy Feet.

And this is him now. Everyone here said the show was incredible. Don't get me wrong, I had the time of my life in St. Louis this weekend...it just would have been nice to see this too :)

You gotta name Babalooga?

Last night I went to Nette and Chris's to have a HalloweEeEen party. We carved pumpkins and watched Sweeney Todd and the first installment of the Stand. More pictures to come when they are off something other than my phone.

Today was my tapping debut at the Sunset Zoos Spooktacular! Tappy Halloween!

Shameless

If anyone would like to donate to the KSU Tap Ensemble, we're trying to buy a portable tap floor so we can sound like magic everywhere we go. Everything helps! Also, KanDance, the dance organization on campus is selling Gold Canyon candles (awwyeah) as a fund raiser. There is a bit of a smaller selection, but the cause is good!

Ok.

What the devil happened to the Broncos tonight? We lost to the Patriots 41-7, and had more fumbles, turnovers, and penalties than I could count on all the fingers I have. The good news is, it's only the second game we've lost this season. And this time, atleast to a respectable team (no offense to ma' chiefs lovers out there. Love you, just not the chiefs).

For your evening gossip, I heard John Vanier wrote the Kstate athletic dept. a blank check to buy out Prince's contract. Hearsay? Or knowsay? I'll daresay in a few daysay.

And I'm leaving you with that sentence. Yes, THAT one. Pleasant dreams readers.
