Home of the Chiefs

On Sunday Chris, Nette, and Cass came up to go to a Chiefs/Vikings game with me and Tyler! It was fun, especially since it was all of our (except Tyler) first NFL game. PLUS the Chiefs won (22-17)?!?! So...that actually happened.

Dreams are a roller coaster

Let me run you through this.

I'm currently watching the Denver/KC game (KC is winning 7-0) and am super excited to want to work for the Broncos. So I started looking at available jobs on their website. From there, I googled Champ Bailey because he's my man and I like to know the latest. In the middle of that I got to wondering "Sure, I love Champ. But would he love me? Or is he already lovin on some other woman?"

So I googled his status and first saw he's married to a lady named Hanady (and has a son with her).

She's alright. But THEN I saw a tid bit that suggested they may no longer be together. Googled HER, and found out they divorced three years ago. And let me straighten this out, I'm not happy at this unfortunate event, but there's obviously a reason they weren't meant to be together. And so...

There's still time!!!!!!
Look at him. Best player in the league AND a looker? I bet he's a great conversationalist too-- Renaissance man.

Then you get her numba -Gucci-

Um, please just look at what I've been doing in college for the last month.
Back row: Emmanuel (Twin) Lamur, Cornelius (Big Sexy) Lucas, Andre McDonald; 4th row: Ty Zimmerman, Logan Wiltfong, Will Lawson, Zach Trujillo; 3rd row: To(rell) Miller, Sheldon (?), Clarence (Bump) Bumpas, Ryan Manes; 2nd row: Chuck (idk his last name...maybe Melton?), Tim Flanders, Coleman Younger; front row: ya girl, Michelle! Not shown is Tomasi Mariner, which sucks because he was cool.
We had our final performances of our choreography projects today, and tomorrow is the last day. SAD. By far the best class I've ever taken in college.

No Sleep Til Brooklyn!

Did you WATCH the SuperBowl?! Only two things could have happened to make it the very best it could be: Arizona could have won (Thank you Kurt, Larry, Dockett, Hightower, and the rest of the non dread-bearing gang for all your fantastic efforts),
and we could have NOT ate so many darn cookies.

Other than that, GREAT game! We watched it at Irene's house in Wichita with a lot of the family plus Andy!
It was also Jayme's 25th birthday, so Nicole made her a stadium cake that the dogs ate half of!
If I could go have lunch with two people in the world right now, I would choose Larry Fitzgerald and...probably just a lunch with him again the next day. And we are not bandwagon people. Did you know the Cardinals moved to AZ the year I was born? It's fate. Nay, destiny. And no one thought we'd even make it this far. I'm going to write him a letter! In fourth grade I wrote Leonardo DiCaprio a letter...this isn't the same.

SuperBowl XllVb29

This is how I want, nay, predict how the rest of the season will go:

Baltimore and Arizona will make it to the SuperBowl, Yamon will play one heck of a game, but Arizona will reign victorious!

It's too bad football is almost over.

And one more thing...

I'm just full of news these days.

After 13 years of domination, Garden City High School lost the Hatchet to Dodge 16-22.
Very sad news, but really, it's pretty awesome how long we held on to it for. We'll just get it back next year, no BD. GC What!

Halfsie in, halfsie out

Ron Prince is rumored to be resigning this afternoon. Nothing for sure yet, but one source says he'll be coaching the remainder of the season. You can read a bit more on this on the Wichita Eagle.

I'll miss the vests most of all.

Shameless

If anyone would like to donate to the KSU Tap Ensemble, we're trying to buy a portable tap floor so we can sound like magic everywhere we go. Everything helps! Also, KanDance, the dance organization on campus is selling Gold Canyon candles (awwyeah) as a fund raiser. There is a bit of a smaller selection, but the cause is good!

Ok.

What the devil happened to the Broncos tonight? We lost to the Patriots 41-7, and had more fumbles, turnovers, and penalties than I could count on all the fingers I have. The good news is, it's only the second game we've lost this season. And this time, atleast to a respectable team (no offense to ma' chiefs lovers out there. Love you, just not the chiefs).

For your evening gossip, I heard John Vanier wrote the Kstate athletic dept. a blank check to buy out Prince's contract. Hearsay? Or knowsay? I'll daresay in a few daysay.

And I'm leaving you with that sentence. Yes, THAT one. Pleasant dreams readers.

Baseball! Rockies! Boyfriend!

Today was our homecoming game against Baylor! It's also the last home game we'll be going to because of a hockey tournament, and I'm glad we went out with a bang.
Mommy came to town this weekend so she went to the game with us!
We sat in front of some really fun guys,
they jumped in all of our pictures and cheered for the Rockies during the game :)
Kerri (pictured), Diedre, Julie, and I all crowd surfed! Courtesy of the guys behind us.
Rajarshi (one of Shannon's office mates) came as a first-timer.
Chris got a turkey leg.
Nette got purple kettle corn.
Oh, AND we rocked Baylor's world 51-13,
that's including Jordy Nelson's punt return for a touch-down in the last minute of the game!
He broke KSU's football record for most received passes in a season. STUD, I know!
After the game we went back to the apartments and ate dinner, returned my broken mini-fridge, and went to Wal-Mart. Kerri, Erin, and I all decided we should get to bed early but somehow that turned into us learning how to do the Soulja Boy crank and teaching some girls how to Chicken Noodle Soup.

(Hey, you too can learn the Soulja Boy crank in this video, provided by youtube,
Soulja Boy himself, and our friend Will)

I sound like a man

So I'm almost basically not sick anymore. For the most part.
Look at this garGANTUOUS spider we saw in the Jardine parking lot the other night! Grooosssssss.
Yesterday was the home KSU/Missouri State game. Shannon's friend Andy came over from Wichita and we went to a Catbackers tail gating party with him.
They had purple cauliflower there!
It was totally a party where we were sitting.
And look who else sat with us! Addison was up for the weekend, but they left before halftime. BOO. It was still fun sitting with them!
So basically we demolished Miss State, 61-10. It rocked, Wabash style.
After the game I went with Kerri and some of her friends to Gumby's. They got the 20 inch,
and pretty much finished it. This is Nick Grieve, it's not a good picture but he's 4th-string quarterback for Kstate, so I want to be able to look back at this when he's first string and be like "Yeah, we ate pizza together".
Kerri's grandparents came up today and we to church with us plus Sara and Diedre then took us out to Famous Dave's for lunch. They were freakin awesome and the food was yummy!
So to wrap things up it's been a great weekend.
Plus Shannon informed me that Jason Elam just kicked the winning field goal in overtime in the Broncos/Raiders game!
(I've been doing homework so I couldn't watch the second half of the game)

Booyah!

Saturday Kstate played their first home game against San Jose, and we won 34-14!

Sunday, other than it being Kerri's 19 birthday (!) I, along with the fellas you see in the pic below and my madre went to KCs Renaissance Festival.
We went last year, but this year rocked so much harder! I wonder why...
Could it be that we had tea with the queen, along with an entire gypsie family? Maybe...
Or perhaps it was because Nicole and I rode an elephant? Could be...
We took a lot of pictures with these kinds of boards.
That might have had something to do with it...
Mommy didn't meet the queen, but she did meet one of the Queen's ladies. That contributed...
A bag-pipe rock band always brightens up a Sunday afternoon...
And so does dancing with gypsies to cap off a wonderful day at the Renaissance Festival!
Yeah, this year was way cooler than last year,
and we're going again in October for pirate weekend!

1000th Post!!!

Two years and 8 months=1000 posts. We've come a long way in that time...
Since then I've had oodles and oodles of adventures in Gc and beyond.
Saturday night was Kstate's first game of the season against Auburn. We played really well and were beating them mostly up until the fourth quarter, then they ended up beating us 23-13. It was pretty sad. But we really did play waaay better than anyone thought we would.
(To read more, read Shannon's post.)
So during halftime, Kerri, Nicole, and I made waffle cookies!
They gray ones were supposed to be purple, but that didn't work out too well.
They basically tasted like waffles...good times, though.
Today I found out that I got a part in a small dance ensemble that I tried out for!
It may end up being in the Winterdance,
otherwise I think it's just going to be in some department showcase thing.
Either way, I'm really glad that I didn't ditch these auditions like I did the first Winterdance auditions. I am pumped!
This coming weekend...
-Mommy's coming up
-Is the first KSU home game against San Jose
-We're going to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival like last year
-Sunday is Kerri's birthday
-First practice for the dance ensemble
So far it's lookin to be a good one!
