Oldie but a goodie

So since I've been in the UK, I've learned a lot of popular songs are from American artists. There's a few ones native to the area, but I was generally disappointed with the lack of new music I'd be bringing home. Until I heard on a Top 40 countdown...

That has to be a record of some kind. But, needless to say, I'm ok with the music selection here now. These Brits are so darn cheeky...

PS I've now watched all 5 past seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, and the first season of Glee. I get out more than that makes it sounds like though.

Holdin Out

Well, I guess I should atleast give the opportunity to view the videos I've been watching/listening to lately. If you are lacking things to do, this ought to kill a few of those minutes.

Party and Bullshit in the USA Best mashup I've ever heard..If you really love it I suggest you listen to the chipmunk one as well.


"Come On, Come On" The After Party--These guys are from the Manhattan/Wamego area. Some of them are in high school and I believe the singer goes to K-State. I've seen them play a few times and I love 'em!

I don't really get buying the bum's bike but..I don't have a music video. So get at it After Party.

Hey there, big puffy version of Junebug

I got ahold of the Juno soundtrack and have basically been listening to it nonstop. Between this and the Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist soundtrack, Michael Cera sure does make the good times role in film. This song in particular, "Anyone Else But You", sticks out more that the others. I like the one where Michael and Ellen Page sing it more than the one performed by the Moldy Peaches. It's sweet <3

The moral is if you're into the indie movie music, definitely dig this soundtrack.

"The Zookeepers Boy" by Mew is an awesome song, it's what I've been listening to a ton the last week or so. That and "Galway Girl" by Mundy.

It's actually a summer of some pretty good music. I've listened to "Baby Your My Light" by Richard Hawley off of the Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist's soundtrack about a hundred times.

Wait...is he...?

Geoff, Coleman, and I worked ourselves on the stairs of Old Stadium on Thursday. On the way home C Walk and I made the last minute decision to eat Jimmy Johns, and to visit SOS Records. Well, there was a suprise mini-show about to happen! So we stuck around for that.
Tyler Gregory of Tyler Gregory & The Blue Shuffle played an acoustic set, followed by Charles McVey on the piano. (Warning: If you're going to listen to ol' Chuck's music, it's a little graphic/vulgar/homosexual. If any of those make you uncomfortable, I recommend against it--I did enjoy the music though.)
Of Tyler's I particularly enjoyed "Loose Change" and "Remember What You Had Forgot". He said the latter was about Kansas, if I remember correctly. "Sir" by Charles was probably my favorite of his.

Beauty

Jim Brickman "Beauty and the Beast"

"Piano Variation in Blue" This is the song I ultimately wanted sheet music for from Finding Neverland, although mommy found me a very nice alternative.

Which was "Park on Piano" from the same movie. This video isn't as cool because I couldn't find someone actually playing it. Lovely song though, can't wait to actually work on it!

Californias Best

Mayday Parade is still completely my favorite band.

OH but hey, this last time I went to see them The Maine was one of the bands that played with them. I dig a lot as well. This isn't the best of best of their songs, but it'll do.

And finally, I listen to "Remembering Sunday" by All Time Low a bunch as of late (unfortunately that song isn't on their myspace page). Good golly, a lot of good came out of that show!
I'm going back to Garden tomorrow but I can't fall asleep! Gaaahhhhhhh.

Boys Like Girls

Remember when I said I couldn't get the Boys Like Girls album anywhere but iTunes? Well, by that I meant iTunes and Target. So I did indeed get it at Target and my friends from what I've listened to, that is a brilliant cd. It's a has a good spring-and-on-into-summer feel. I'm definitely excited about the whole experience :)
