I opened today at Starbucks. That wasn't too bad, but I was a little disoriented and spilled a couple of times. OH, and I accidentally talked a guy into telling me that he was getting a vasectomy later on in the day. You know, if someone asks, just tell them you're going to the doctor! It's very simple, sir. Stana and I went to the Sonic West's softball game tonight then she and Zoe came over and we watched Harry Potter and ate brownies. Mmmm. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to see Chelsey sometime since we haven't hung out in like 2 and a half weeks. Summer is so fun!
Rather than posting 18 pictures individually, heres my trip in slide show form!
I spent roughly 24+ hours in the car these last two weeks. The whole trip was sooo fun, and to top it all off I got sick the last day in Texas! So the 11 hour trip home? Yeah, not the greatest. I don't mind though, as always, the Colorado/Manhattan/and this time Texas trip was well worth a sore throat! Summer--PHASE 1!
To see more, you can go to Shannon or Nicole's blog. Oh, and I know it's rediculous since I've seen them more in the last two months than I probably have in the last 3 years, but I really miss my brothers and sisters now!
It's Pirates Day! Last year we all got dressed in our Pirate garb and saw Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man's Chest. Well. This year, we're all gettin fancied up again to see Pirates 3: At World's End. It's practically become a holiday for us. Who's super excited? Yarrgh that be me!
No pictures still, but let me give you a couple high lights to look forward to reading about. *Met the fastest sprint car racer at Colorado National Speedway, AND gave him my card *Had a s'mores party. That's right. A S'Mores party. *Bought two fabulous pairs of shoes, and almost got killed by a mall bus.
You just keep gettin' it until I have a chance to post.
So we're in the fabulous CO right now, and have been for about a day and a half. No pics right now because I'm not into getting fancy with unfamiliar computers, but you will get them soon enough. But just to give you a little taste, today we went to the 29th Street mall and Pearl Street in Boulder. Good times, as I'm sure you can imagine, were had by all! Tomorrow: downtown Denver and a Rockies/Royals game!
This last weekend was me and Rhonda's 4th trip to Manhattan in the last 5 weeks. This time Chris was graduating with his Masters in English. (Nicole made him the Grog Islands flag that he's wearing.)
Afterwards we did what our family does best...fondue party!
We went to the mall and I checked to see if my card was still on the Outstanding Businesses board...it was. :)
Later that night all of us (minus Brenda, Chris' mom) went to see 28 Weeks Later. I only saw the first half and very last of the first one, 28 Days Later, but I think that it was better than the sequel...which does tend to happen time to time. Seriously, no zombies can run that fast.
We came home today after a post-grad bbq for Chris and got here just in time for the high school's '07 graduation. I only went to see this boy:
And these boys (Sean, Ahn, Brian, and Jon D...Me and Kasey made up a techno song with the first three's names in it one time. Just a little background).
It was a very quick weekend, but a nice one indeed. A final on monday, a final on tuesday, and I'm off to Colorado for a week with the siblings!
Friday afternoon Rhonda and I went to Manhattan. Straylight Run had a free show on K-State campus...
...so naturally I packed up the fam and we all went. There were complimentary color changing mugs and we got to make our very own candy tubes...
...for free! That's the best kind of candy!
This is pretty much my sister, that's all.
I was leaving my cards all up in that towns grill. This is on the community board at Panera.
While we were at Panera it started raining pitchforks and N-babies. (My grandma said that to me once, so no one can get offended.)
There were really bad storms all around Kansas this weekend. Many of you may have heard of the disaster in Greensburg. 95% of the city was ruined which, I'm sure you can imagine, realllllly sucks. What you probably didn't hear about was all the other places that either had tornados go through, tons of rain, or ridiculous wind damage. There were oodles of telephone poles down on the way home, not to mention all kinds of torn up trees.
Storms picked up while we were driving today and got really bad around Great Bend, so my mom and I stopped at Applebees and ate some cheese dip that we definitely were not hungry for.
Despite crappy travel conditions we made it home safe! Not pictured: *I tried out for KSU's dance team. I didn't make it, but it was pretty fun; especially when me and the other 2 girls I tried out with forgot the jazz and just did random turns and leaps the whole time. *We ate at a top-notch restaraunt called Toto's Tacoz in a nearby town, Wamego. Let me tell you, that Toto makes one phenomenal chicken taco. *I also left my card in an "Outstanding Businesses" stand at the mall. A bunch of companies had their cards in individual slots, so I thought I'd take advantage of one of the empty ones :)
This weekend Rhonda and I are going to Manhattan, and I was recently informed that Straylight Run is playing a free show on friday! Oh yeah, I'm all over that one (I listened to them alot my junior year). It's also a battle of the bands before Straylight plays, one of the bands is Dear Arcadia. Their songs are available for download, which almost made me automatically like them, but they aren't too bad. Red + Red is the best song. See you (Manhattan folk) in a couple days!
