His name is Wibbles

Saturday Nette, Chris, and I went hiking on Fancy Creek trail. It was a little longer than expected, but still a nice outing...besides 1-inch flies following us around.

Later that night I hung out with Will and his friends on Ryan Bruce's (and Michael Weiser's, coincidently) porch.

Alumni Game

First of all, it was Chris' birthday last Thursday, but my camera died before I could take pictures of him eating ColdStone cake. So this is the card I made for him:
We had the K-State Roller Hockey Alumni Game today, not a super great turn out (Shannon, Nicole, and Rhonda couldn't make it up on account of stupid winter storm...along with a few other alum I'm sure). Netter played though, it was Miah's last game for us and it was a good game! I don't remember the final score but it was something like 13-10 us (the current team).
All the graduating seniors (Nick Sterlacci, Michael Meier, Kevin Hargadon, and Jeremiah Wood) got plaques, as did Dany Majard for Most Improved, and Clavin for MVP. I believe Jerry made good decisions.
So it was a great time, then we went out to Milford lake and had ourselves a little cookout. And of course, a few shenanigans were had.

Bring your K-Game

Last Thursday Chris and I embarked on a journey. We were determined to see, pitting Red Bull and coffee against each other in our own bodies, which could keep us up and playing Donkey Kong the longest. I flipped for it and was put on a team with Red Bull, giving Chris coffee. He will never know how lucky he was...

We drank another unit of our respective drinks each time we beat a boss and got to a new world. At about 5 am, 6 worlds and 5 Red Bulls later (Chris forgot about getting a new drink at the end of the 5th world, and I was not about to remind him), we game-overed.

We layed around for a bit afterward, feeling all tingly, wormed-raced to a wall...that's was kind of weird... and called it. I ate saltines before I went to bed, since my tummy hurt.

And now we know.

Hi, um can you hear me?

Today Chris and I went on quite on a biking adventure. As you may have read from my Twitter (on the side bar), I bought a helmet today, and it's a good thing too. He took me off roading--we're talkin steep declines followed by steeper inclines, tree trunks smack dab in the middle of the path, and quite a voyage through a mosquito-infested sunflower field. Boy howdy, it was a new one. I can't decided if I'd do it again...probably if he asked. I was a lot of dead weight though. I probably walked/ran my bike as much as I rode it.

I guess it was pretty fun.

After that we met up with Netter at Sonic. There was a tortilla fiasco, but we got it smoothed out.

Now I'm listening to Brian Adam's "Everything I Do" fixin to go to sleep. Oh, but I have started a new ritual of listening to "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz before I fall asleep. You might try it, I feel it's the relationship I'm missing in my life. Filled. Right there in a song. Don't judge me..

And thats gonna be time

This weekend I went to help Coleman with enrollment, visit Chris and Nette, and see Anthony.
Friday night Anthony and I went to a Royals game against the Giants. We lost 4-8, but our seats were two rows above the field. It was fantastic! There was also a fireworks show put on by the people who do the Olympics fireworks.
The next day was National Go Out and Skate Day! I finally got to watch him skate, along with about 60 other kids in Topeka. This photo was taken by a guy named Mike that takes pics for them.
I went back to Manhattan on sunday to boat down the Kansas River with Chris. We one-oared it...which was one in a series of questionable choices about the adventure. But you know what, even though it took 3 hours, we were both glad we did it. It was very fun :)
Next voyage: Getting a real boat and takin it to the Gulf!

He's Not gay, he's Mormon!

My play date with Chris was soo fun! Here's what we did:
*Went garage saling...not too exciting
*Decided we wanted to go to the Dodge City Water Slide but couldn't figure out how to contact them to see if they were open, so we threw the idea out.
*Ate El Con with Jeremy and Sonny
*Tried to swim at their apt's swimming pool but were denied since half of us
(now joined by Brittney) aren't residents.
*So we layed out in the BBQ pit, which as far as we know, isn't reserved solely for residents.
*Worked out at the rec
*Went to the Big Pool for my first time in four years. The new slides are fast and fab!
*Freshened up, went back to the apt's and played Taboo
It was a successful day, in that I am pooped.
Three year old's birthday party tomorrow? I'm in!

**Ah yes how could I forget? My dreams last night/this morning:
-Jim from The Office flying us around camp and giving us parachuting lessons
-Me and Chris (pictured above, not my brother in law) getting married
-Regier redoing MAD! for this last spring's play, and it being more than amazing. Broke my heart a little bit...in the dream, and when I woke up. Also made me kinda sick.
But it did give me some fun ideas for MAD! v. 2**

James your the only one who likes girls here

And it was so. Tonight I went to game night at Chris and Jeremy's. Jeremy and Sonny made a delicious Ham Dijon Swiss bake, I brought pasta salad, and Macy brought strawberried-whipped cream dessert. At one point there were like 13 people there or something. Fun times. Oh, and about the heading, there was one guy from Target there (yeah, most of us there were Target employees) named James and for a while he was the only one that liked girls out of all six of us. It was keen.
Tomorrow Chris and I are having a play date! Garage sales, possibly skating or swimming, maybe a carnival. Who knows with us crazy cats!

**I just found out that I will know what dorm I'm in during the first week of July...whew, I was getting a bit worried!**

Only real gangstaz graduate

This last weekend was me and Rhonda's 4th trip to Manhattan in the last 5 weeks. This time Chris was graduating with his Masters in English.
(Nicole made him the Grog Islands flag that he's wearing.)
Afterwards we did what our family does best...fondue party!
We went to the mall and I checked to see if my card was still on the
Outstanding Businesses board...it was. :)
Later that night all of us (minus Brenda, Chris' mom) went to see 28 Weeks Later. I only saw the first half and very last of the first one, 28 Days Later, but I think that it was better than the sequel...which does tend to happen time to time. Seriously, no zombies can run that fast.
We came home today after a post-grad bbq for Chris and got here just in time for the high school's '07 graduation. I only went to see this boy:
And these boys (Sean, Ahn, Brian, and Jon D...Me and Kasey made up a techno song with the first three's names in it one time. Just a little background).
It was a very quick weekend, but a nice one indeed. A final on monday, a final on tuesday, and I'm off to Colorado for a week with the siblings!
