And all that Jazz

Time has really started going fast. Recently I've...
Celebrated Nicole's birthday
Gone to London's West End with Alex to see Chicago, choreographed by Anne Reinking.
Gone back into London the next day to see Stomp
Saw more of London, this was the Southern part. Probably my favorite.
Picnicked a few times with Alex since it's FINALLY been sunny and warm all at the same time!

Gone to Sheffield to see Cirque du Soleil with some of my flatmates

And finally got to see Keagan for myself! She is so cute, it's going to be a bit cute mess once we get her and Cass together, I can't WAIT!!

I think Shannon tries to hide how cute they are together.
She looks like a baby doll!

Tonight is the last Bonk at the Forum, tomorrow is my last exam, and then Alex and I leave for a tour of Scotland!

K.M.L.D.

She's finally here, the other half to the nieces set: Keagan! (I think she looks a lot like Nicole in this pic, but word is that she'll look like her mom sometimes, her dad sometimes, and my Grandpa in Denver)
Tuesday Nicole went in to get induced, and when that didn't work 24 hours later she got a C-section in the midst of this:
Luckily, no tornadoes hit (wouldn't have made a difference, they had been moved to the OTHER SIDE of the hospital--you know, where tornadoes can't reach) and my brother and his wife got themselves a 8 lb 3 oz, 21 1/4" baby girl!
Keagan Marie Lowell Dick--She is adorable
You can view Nicole's post where I stole most of these pictures from :)

And now my brothers and sisters have kids, just like that. Crazy, Adorable, whatever.

Happy Mother's Day!

Aaand niece-d (phase 1)! They got to come home yesterday, with one Miss Cassidy Rae Turpin. I've been able to skype over to the Manhattan house some the past few days and watch her, she is sooo cute! I love her so much. This is the skype-captured moment of the very first time I saw her. I think Nette is pretty stoked :) Along with Chris. It's weird that it's not weird. Just a cute little person in life now :)
So fly.
I think Mommy likes being a Grandma too, she seems happy to be able to get to spend so much time with her.
Awww a new little family :)
This is her today, napping in the sun to hopefully kick that last bit of jondis. She's pretty wiggly in her sleep. Dj Wigglez. She's really skinny and has long limbs and toesies.
In another state, this is Nicole in her 39th week. Her due date was actually today--alas, no baby. The word is that if she doesn't have her by the 19th she'll be induced. So the 10-day countdown begins! New Mommy's all over the place! :) I can't wait to see this one now, I bet she'll look so different from Cass. Atleast hair wise if nothing else.

Baybeh

I have a niece now! Netter just had her about half an hour ago (around 11:30 pm KS time. you do the math) But it's super exciting, I listened over the phone to the whole thing going down. Jenette doesn't usually yell so that was new. Plus there was the baby.

A lot of new screaming and crying I heard tonight. Pictures surely to come! :)

I blog because I'm bored

But I DO feel it's important to update on family affairs, so I lucked out in that I have something to bored-blog about.

My cousin Tara and her husband Dan have been working on adopting a baby for like a year or more. Two days before I flew out from Garden, they tried to do the same thing but to Ethiopia. Unfortunately there was fog and their flight was canceled. Well, I think we can all imagine how flight plans to Ethiopia go, and that's not an easy switch-around. SO Rhonda lent them her van (we had gone out to the airport to see them off at 6 am) and they booked it to DIA where their first layover was. Later in the day we got word that they made it in the knick (nick?) of time to catch that flight.

Some other crazy we're-adopting-a-foreign-baby things happened I'm sure, but when it was all said and done, they ended up back home in Garden this last Monday with one whole new baby. Mason!
Precious. He's going to be a fun one, I can feel it. How exciting! It's kind of baby fever in our family lately :)

Now dry your eyes, that's why Dad left

We had the first tournament of the new semester this weekend. Played Illinois (L 1-6), Missouri S&T's B team (W 4-2), and Washington (L 1-5), but that last game they played really well in.

Miah and Lacey brought their new baby...Johnathen Joseph? He was super-cute and super-asleep the whole time.

*Mommy pointed out that maybe I should watch the language a little more on the blog, even though it was a quote from Daniel Tosh, a comedian from Comedy Central. Probably not a horrible idea. Change in title--check*

Finale

Last night was the release of the seventh and final Harry Potter book, so Meredith, Stana, Erica and I went to Dillons to get our copies. I realize it probably wasn't as hip-happenin as Hastings but as Meredith is banned from said music and entertainment store, we went with her to Dillons. I don't want you to get the wrong idea, I'm only on the 75th page of the sixth book, I just wanted to be a part of the midnight hustle and bustle. This way I'll be ready for it when I'm done with the sixth.
This evening Kasey and I hung out. She trimmed my hair, we got ice cream, and listened to adorable little Breckin here scream his little heart out. And throw up all his formula...
it was hard to tell which was more charming :) All things considered, he still is really cute .

I Lean like a Cholo

Here's the skinny, I'm currently in Manhattan until next tuesday or wednesday. I have a slumber party at Smurthwaite on saturday, and for the rest of the time I planned on kickin it with the familia. I don't have access to any pictures because I am posting from whatever random laptop I was closest to when I woke up at 1 o'clock this afternoon (I tend to do that when I stay up until 6 am). However, it has come to my attention that I have yet to post about my fabulous and green new phone. This is what it looks like:

(Um, it rocks)

I also must tell you that I went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on wednesday and it was awesome. Of course they left a lot of what was in the book out of the movie (and I should know, since I just finished reading it last week), but the cinematography was exceptional. Now I'm ready to start reading the sixth (Half-Blood Prince).

In other news, Kasey had her baby boy Breckin Roy on the 3rd (?). I ran into them earlier this week at Target and he is seriously adorable beyond words.
Apparently Kasey and Mark's genes compliment each other quite nicely.
Sarah Williams (Duarte) also had her baby on wednesday! Moses Samuel, I haven't seen him yet but I hear good things. I can't believe how many of my close friends have kids! I guess in a way it's pretty cool though, so far they've all proven to be awesome little kids anyway.
